Star Wars The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes is simple fun beat ’em up Game. You have all the characters from the clone wars repeating their voices. After you complete the main story, you can replay the mission using any of the characters. Don’t listen to people saying this game doesn’t save. Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes (what a mouthful of a title) is a Star Wars game based on the Clone Wars TV series. As someone who hasn’t watched the series yet, I didn’t really know what to expect, although I’m familiar with the premise of the show. All things considered, I think it was a decent game overall.
Star Wars The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes Best Video Game !!
The game seems to be focused on the coop, as there will always be two players on each level, although you can play it solo (pun totally intended), and your friend will be controlled by AI. One thing I liked about the game is that it doesn’t focus on two isolated characters; instead, you’ll be swapping characters throughout the game. Not only that, while in some cases you may play as a Jedi, with the abilities you would expect from a Jedi (lightsaber use, Force, etc), there will be times when you will play as a Clone, relying on blasters and jetpacks. There are also mini-games in most levels, which again return to their coop nature.
As for difficulty, it’s not really a difficult game. The game was obviously designed for children; even on the hardest difficulty, death is tantamount to a punch in the arm, as you will only lose points, and respawn at the nearest checkpoint. However, I don’t consider its lack of difficulty to be a bad thing, as it’s a good thing to have a simple easy relaxing game. Although I would like to note that even then, the game was not without its frustrating episodes; the platforming can be quite annoying at times, as your character will sometimes drop to his death although the game often “locks on” to an adjacent platform when you jump.
The story takes place during the Clone Wars, between Parts II and III; and according to the game’s store page, between the first two seasons of the TV series. As the Clone Wars rage on, the Jedi discover a new plot by the Separatists to use a new superweapon, and it’s up to them to stop them.
One thing I really liked about this story, going back to my issue with switching between different characters, is how well everything really fits together. While it may not seem like it at first, the events that each character goes through end up adding to the larger story. Not only that, you’ll also sometimes play through activities that overlap quite nicely; for example, in one mission you’ll be causing disruption as Clone Troopers, while in the next, you’ll play as two Jedi entering the area.
The music is good; what you would expect from Star Wars. As for the art style, it uses one from the same show, so I won’t complain there. Overall, I’d say that despite its flaws, it’s a fun, smooth Star Wars experience.
This is a very decent Star Wars game. It’s fun for a few hours with young kids. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t “hate” this game, this game just simply isn’t my style. If you do, however, like more kid’s games or something to replay every now and then, this game is for you. Also, the game has a slightly short campaign for my tastes and feels like it was meant to be played as a multiplayer game (although single-player is still optional). so I recommend it.
