About This Game:
Ravenfield The game has a great story. Fantastic Setting: A medieval action-adventure set in the Kingdom of Bohemia with dark fantasy elements. The game itself is more fantasy, but also has some accurate historical references:
Names of real historical names such as the Hussite Wars, Jean Žižka, Hussain Hus, Sigismund of Luxemburg… famous names of Bohemian history. There are a lot of easter eggs (The Witch, Kingdom Come Deliverance, or the tunes of some famous Czech songs…) You will also face some moral decisions in the game.
Gameplay:
You can beat the game in around 20-30 hours. It depends on how much you explore the world (underground dungeons, caves, monasteries, or castles. There are also some puzzles and ciphers. The game doesn’t take you by the hand, sometimes you have to think a lot, but I like the game. It also has a deeper effect. Also, chapters contain hidden passages. The story is told through the eyes of the rough Hussite Hauptmann Hynek and the Knight Hospitaller Lothar.
Battles are tactical with an emphasis on realism. The player has to protect himself during the fight and when he is hit and block well to win. If there is more than one player, you have to use a favorable position or it’s a quick death. Games can be really hard sometimes.
