A new story and game mechanics that you have not seen before in Spellarium 7! The world is made up of 6 elements: Light, Earth, Wind, Fire, Air, and Darkness. Or is there a 7th element? This time Eric has to stop the 7th element, Time, in order to destroy the world. As always, some levels require a Match 3 strategy.
The following sentence, which is often repeated in games, sums things up nicely:
“Follow the right line or it will take too long to complete this level!” First of all – it just is not true (in casual mode there is no clock and no movement limits; however this can be changed if you want more difficulty). And some other directions have been mentioned in a strange way. But it really sets a key point; this really is a match-3 game that you have to think about at least a little bit.
I’ve bought it mostly for different game genres: Match 3, Solitare, Mah Jong, and See the Difference. But in fact, the puzzle-3 looked the best. Which came as a bit of a surprise at a time when mobile-heavy match-3 games were often full of mobile ads. There are many clever mechanisms out there, many of which are many years old or have never been seen before. I won’t go into details, but they really do make the world a puzzle game, instead of just matching-match-and-fixing.
For example, if you ask for a signal, you are not only given a move you can make, but a general strategic goal you must aim for first. Both mah-jong matches and solitaire games have a ‘bank’ where you can create a meaningful card with a little thought and a little planning, they are more solvable than normal.
There is no great power or chain of explosions here. It focuses more on using your noggins and using what you have in your best interest. I really enjoyed playing this completely and will probably go back to another game mode to see if it still works.
If like me, you enjoy match-3 games a day but are overwhelmed by the endless versions of copy-paste that are not playable, then I can definitely recommend trying this.
