|Game Title:||The Silent Age|
|Game Developer:||House On Fire|
|Initial Release Date:||29 May 2015|
|Genre:||Adventure, Casual, Indie|
The story begins with your routine. But the day was different. As you progress a little, you learn about a terrible future. It is up to you to go back in time and save it. The story starts very slowly but then progresses very fast. As you go through different timelines, you will learn more about the terrible future. The story is straightforward but it presents itself very well. Nothing amazing but definitely good.
This is a point-and-click game with average puzzles. But what makes it different is the way you change the timeline whenever you want. Absolutely flawless and mind-blowing feature. It feels great to move into the past and the future and to change things in every timeline for progress. Probably the most entertaining feature of gameplay in a 2D game.
This is a short but interesting new style point and clicks game, it took me only 4 hours to complete 100% but I think it was worth the time. There is not much depth in the story but it was interesting and quite enjoyable, there is an element of time travel in this game so the surrounding mechanics also make it quite interesting. The style of art is very good and very easy on the eyes, and I found the puzzles quite reasonable (no weird combination that you wouldn’t think of using as a few points and clicks). I wouldn’t say the game was challenging in terms of puzzles, it’s straightforward, but it’s still fun to play.
- Interesting puzzles
- Clean graphics
- The fun jumping time mechanic
- Great voice acting and strong storytelling
- Expected to some extent
- Conclusion (if you want to know my thoughts, see the spoiler above)
- Moving back and forth, especially towards the end.
Nice looking artistic visual. The game fits perfectly and looks really good.
Why am I even talking about it in a 2D game?
The world of both present and future is beautifully made. The two worlds look really different and good in both timelines. He did well with the present world and the world of the “later” future.
Although it was a blast for me, the game was really short. I would prefer a bigger game because the game was so good even though it didn’t last long. But of course yes from me,
