Metaverse Keeper is a roguelike game that resembles games like The Binding of Isaac and Enters The Gungeon. You can expect to score several runs to cross a basement and hopefully keep going every time. It’s a top-down view where you explore rooms, defeat enemies and upgrade your loadout. Currently, there are 4 characters, 2 you have to unlock, each with its own unique quirks. The graphics are very well done. There is a split-screen for you and an online screen. One of my salient features of this game is the ability to make future runs a bit easier with permanent upgrades that you buy through cassettes obtained by beating the owners. Examples of upgrades include increased health, starting with more bombs, access to more weapon options, faster running, and more.
