A Tale of Paper: Refolded is a good game, albeit a very small one. I was surprised when the main story lasted only one hour. With the extra chapters you unlock after beating the game, it’s two hours. Other than that, the game has good music and beautiful graphics and is very enjoyable for what it is. It’s a little heavy on chromatic aberration, but it’s okay. I don’t mind it in the slightest, but the game was a bit blurry due to the amount used. Also, it’s only 60fps, although that could be improved in a patch, who knows? All in all.

I’ve actually been on the struggle bus a couple of times in this game, but I can’t see how the game is 2 hours or more for other reviewers. The main game was, yes. There’s more to it than that though, and as you can see, I’m 4 hours in. I still haven’t finished it. For a 2-hour game, the price is a bit high, but you should get a lot more hours than that out of it. I think some people are missing where they can click to play more.

So in case, you were wondering, this game IS like Little Nightmares 1&2, and Limbo and others love it. So if that’s something you’re looking for, then this is a great pick. Overall the game is really well done. It does have a very frustrating onslaught of errors once you try to launch it. It also keeps trying to open my VR work whenever it starts up despite not working or connecting to VR in any way, shape, or form.

But it’s pretty good. It has atmosphere going for it, it has a mystery and engaging kind of storyline going for it. And its gameplay is really unique and fun too.

You are a man of papers. As a piece of paper, you can also fold them into different shapes giving you new “abilities”. Like the shape of a lizard that can jump very high. A crushed ball rolls down the pipes. A paper airplane so you can flip around all achieved if you play long enough. Overall the gameplay was fun and engaging, the puzzles weren’t too hard, the curiosity to make you want to keep playing is there, and the atmosphere is definitely there as well.

If you like games like this then I would highly encourage checking this one out, even though that price tag is definitely worth it. Other than that thank you so much for reading and I hope I was able to help some of you out there spend your money wisely. I would probably recommend getting it.
