The Red Lantern is just a dog sled video game where you automatically move to Alaska and try to find this cabin to live in. After you play for a while, the interaction with things can be repeated a bit, but it’s still enough. Fun!
Really amazing game! I love how you choose your dogs, choose your path, and bond with the dogs! It’s either significantly improved or as my ten-year-old computer, it has some tricks that can barely run Minecraft at its lowest setting and with it going below 10 fps. Most can walk. Point store needed. I think the tutorial needs to do some work, especially in food and feeding. It took me a while to figure it out (A and D). I might just be a fool, though.
The game is cute. He managed to get the Rogelic formula and cleverly used it to create an ambiguous narrative experience. It does this by allowing your experiences on the trail to turn into future race preparation. This preparation gradually reduces the threshold of failure, unless you have the resources to realize that most risks are unequal. As such, it continues to push even the toughest players forward at a decent pace with new content.
Pros:
- Very cute dogs with different shapes and personalities
- Dogs have their own story and finally
- First Person POV + Voice acting really immerses you.
- Fun as an adult player (and I can see that it’s exciting for a young audience too).
- Meetings / Events is a mix of Favorite and RNG, meaning you can get multiple results from the same ‘scene’.
- The survival system is easy to understand but mastery of resources requires multiple runs.
- Beautiful story; Hopeless, emotional, and heartfelt without resorting to tragedy.
Cons:
- Very short story. Once you get to the cabin which is a lot – I was expecting at least some other maps or some hassle in arranging the cabin. Really settle into MC’s new life as a leader, you know?
- Repeat runs are a lot of fun for dogs you haven’t had in your team yet, but their personal stories are very short and only a good complete run is needed to complete their part.
Conclusion
Overall it was worth the download and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves dogs. I will continue to play it and look forward to a great game with much better quality graphics and animations, some open-world adventures, maybe a little bit of competition in the end so that the great team I put together To show it I’ll keep the gameplay elements to the fullest, it’s fun and amazing. One can dream. Anyway, thanks for the game, I really enjoy it.
