Please Fix The Road

When it comes to casual puzzler games, the genre is mostly filled with games that are hyper-minimalist abstracts that are very repetitive and out of it. Please Fix The Road shows how far a little polish and life can go. The graphics are crisp and beautiful and there are lots of nice little details in the maps and animations. They get you up and running fast and you will naturally fit right into fun puzzles. I’m especially a fan of a game that kind of draws you into some familiar types of pitfalls early on, encouraging you to get comfortable with trying and trying again. It also has nice QoL features, like a gamepad, mouse only, and M+KB support, in addition to a simple feature set that nonetheless combines critical graphics quality with resolution features . . . . Although I never got far in, I am also encouraged by the levels of 150. Given the way things are going, it feels like the right number of levels to find your value and really see everything but the game lets the cult of replayability/”value is in playtime” drag on into mediocrity. Big fan so far, especially at the price point. If you like things like Dorf Romantik and other timeless quiet, check it out!
