MECHANICA: A Ballad of the Rabbit and Mercury Video Game is a compelling JRPG set in the near future set in the Guillotine cyberpunk world. The concept of the game using time management and music is one of the key points of interest. Its content is that the area becomes devastated and reappears after a few days. You are instructed despite the waifu robot of your trusted servant, Meca-Nica, to unlock the secrets and stop at that to save the world. This is done by searching the area and playing music to the residents to gather information and move on through the story.
The gameplay:
The game is fun in all aspects of the game, including sidescrolling exploration, music performance, and reading dialogue. Dialogue and communication are sometimes both comedic and serious and are totally enjoyable to read. Maybe this is my favorite part of the game because there are so many casual and funny conversations to be done.
By interacting with specific characters, you build and maintain a relationship with them that allows for certain actions that can be taken. It ranges from nice and friendly behaviors like giving girls the one he adapts to and saying silly language to bullies, to the brutal actions ahead. The pioneers are also eye-catching.
Visually and graphically
Visually and graphically, the game looks compelling and immersive for an anime and cyberpunk audience. Characters are beautifully designed with beautiful girls and interesting characters like anthropomorphic people. There are a variety of city dwellers to see, each with their own uniqueness and personality that enlivens the Guillotine world. It has a great deal of beauty with the subtle environments and futures of the world, including the cityscape and the great surroundings.
The Music and Sound
The music and sound in the game are also more enjoyable to listen to and more interesting. From the song that plays in the main menu to the opening line to the music that you play throughout the game because it is a music-centric game, listening to them all is fun. A soundtrack will be welcomed as the game has some beautiful songs.
The Controls
The controls are straightforward enough to play with and the action and settings buttons are displayed at the top of the game window. Although I’m not sure there is a full-screen option so if there is none, it would be nice to have this add-on.
