Cursed Treasure 2 Ultimate Edition: Tower Defense Free Download is the sequel to the surprisingly well-crafted browser tower defense game, Cursed Treasure. Its predecessor was one of my favorite TD games on Kongregate back in 2010 before I could afford a gaming PC, which is why I paid full price for this one without hesitation.

The concept is simple: on each map, you have five gems to protect, and you have three “evil” tower factions to help you defend them. Each map has three different types of terrain, which determines which tower can go there (red=demon, purple/grey=undead, green=orcs). This allows for some interesting strategies since each faction has multiple upgrade trees and you can’t just place them around the map haphazardly.

As a fan of tower defense, I have to praise this, but there are a few bugs that I believe have been fixed in a recent update. For example the beginning of the game was a bit hard to start and left you farming levels to continue, but after those few levels things started to pick up! I was hooked once and it’s worth it for the price.

But this is from the perspective of someone who cursed Treasure 2 for the first time, if someone experienced this game before by playing the previous version, then things might be different.

Some of the early levels are hard, but I disagree with most of the bad reviews that this game is too hard. Yes, some levels are hard, but at the end of the day, I’m having a great time with Cursed Treasure 2 Ultimate Edition. Complete all levels with 3 stars. For me, it could be even more difficult.

I finally finished the game 100% and I have to say it’s still fun. Even though the game is much more difficult now, I still found that I was able to clear all the stages in a flash without needing to use the skull shop. It’s definitely harder now, and while I respect the idea behind making it harder so the late game doesn’t get crushed, what I feel is taking the time you need to progress.

Stop and go back to increase your level. top I think it would be interesting if the balance was designed around discovery, where you can go to lower levels with special strategies and skill points and still beat the higher difficulty. Overall, I’d say I had a really good time playing the game. It’s wrong, but it’s still fun.
