ALAN-13 Reformation:
ALAN-13 is first and foremost a fun puzzle game that tests your logical thinking skills. You need to solve various problems by wiring an automated robot: ALAN-13. As you do this, you will slowly learn how to think of yourself as a programmer (without writing code) and become familiar with some of the basic programming tools. If you are interested in that color you can see it as step 0 to becoming a software developer. If not, just enjoy the ride!
It’s a tough game, especially after a few levels. In the beginning, there are lessons to be learned about the mechanics of the game, but it gets harder and you have to take the time to think about solutions. I recommend this, if you are interested in programming though because you have to do it, you should also think hard 😉
Your job:
In 2177 (30 years after the launch of the first units) the terraformation of the planet Venus was on its way. Then, for reasons that have not yet been discovered, the sun began to set on unusual seas with regular solar waves and massive CMEs at a level we had never seen before.
These effects have essentially destroyed our electrical infrastructure on the surface of the earth, and the constant turbulence in the electromagnetic field undermines the orderly conduction of communication. To overcome these challenges and improve the infrastructure, our mechanical engineers upgraded our general-purpose robot (ALAN line) to heavy shields and the extra software we might need.
Your task (as our sole engineer in the place of the future in automation) is to make these units completely self-contained and self-sustaining because remote communication is not guaranteed at any point.
For this task, you can set up the microcontroller for ALAN-13 using our GENESIS pêkhat test components. Additionally, you must connect the robot to the correct set of environments for each given mission.
It is not easy.
