Vagrus – The Riven Realms

Vagrus – The Riven Realms Game type dramas such as Sunless Sea or Trading Sim. It is heavy in knowledge and world-building, reading, and planning. I think the initial game is very difficult and maybe a little tiring because your caravan is slowly gaining notoriety and cost. This means that many small trade routes and profits are thin. I like the idea that no one should be a vagrant and become an importer, but it was a little slow in my opinion.

As my caravan slowly gained strength and fame, new opportunities arose, and the world began to open up. Your caravan is able to take major trade routes, and you meet many interesting and advanced people. As well as telling the story, the gameplay feels like a real organic development. There is a lot of freedom in how you want to build your caravan/companions/wigs. Which faction will you work for and unite with? Are you a cruel slave master or a pious trader and explorer? I like when a player has so much freedom in how they want to play.

Like a disgusting king of the Dragon Pass (I think anyone who reads it will be familiar), except that you handle the younger Bronze Tribe Managing Great idea, good writing, interesting mechanics, satisfying development, interesting world.

Turn-based RPG-style character competition is tiring and repetitive, so so far one of my criticisms is not an automatic solution. However, it is mostly optional and quite rare so I don’t mind it much. There must be some junk for this very soul.

This game is an ornament, albeit a rough one. It is full of stories and questions, given the feeling of playing a real role-playing game with a very good GM, which is very well written. The downside is that there is a lot of text, don’t play if you hate reading or want your game to grow fast.

The interface can do with a little more polishing (please, add a feature to automatically calculate the potential profit, manually comparing the buying and selling prices of dozens of goods is just painful).
