The Amazing Spider-Man 1 is related to the movie of the same name. The story is a direct continuation of the film and involves an experiment gone wrong: Oscorp is investigating a cross-species mutation virus; the same one that caused the Lizard to appear. This virus reaches Manhattan and Spider-Man has to help the infected people and find a cure.

This version returns to the open-world concept that was released in the previous few episodes. Spider-Man runs through Manhattan, although the webbing is automatically done at the click of a button, on the way to the next plot point. They are sequential levels in which Spider-Man visits places like sewers or laboratories and spends most of his time against enemies, including new robot enemies.

The combat system is reminiscent of the free-flow system used in the Batman: Arkham series: Spidey quickly moves between enemies and destroys them; when his spider-sense fails, the player must use the escape button before hitting. Due to Spider-Man’s special abilities, he can walk on ceilings and escape from certain combat sequences or use his webbing for a stealthy climb. It is also possible to retreat quickly until the hero is lost on the battlefield. In addition to fighting, level maneuvering has several open-door puzzles and boss battles.

Of course, after masterpieces like Rocksteady’s Batman, other superheroes have a tough time. And even though Beenox’s third Spider-Man suffers from poor control and becomes a bit monotonous in the long run, I still had a surprising amount of fun with the man in the spandex suit: as I ran like crazy through the streets of Manhattan collecting comic books, then this may not be a top game, but it is solid entertainment.

I definitely enjoyed playing it. The bump on my thumb confirms that – something Spelunky on my Xbox didn’t even achieve. And that aching desire in me, that hunger that will never be satisfied, wants to be filled with Spider-Man’s abilities. I will never know the moment I hit the wall and just kept going. My fingers never fit the side of the lamp perfectly. I will never sit cross-legged on the ceiling, smiling, as I pour Dolly Mixture into my wife’s tea. It’s not fair. But it’s a tribute to The Amazing Spider-Man that my soul’s desire is at least tempered by the experience.

As Spiderman, you kick, kick, jump and slide your way through the game. Of course, you’ll have Spidey’s famous Spider Sense and web shots at your command. Fire webs to trap your enemies or move them over their heads. You only have a limited supply of web liquid, but you can refill your web supply by hitting your enemies and picking up the web shots they drop.

Spidey gets three lives at the start of each game. Keep an eye on your energy meter; you lose energy every time you’re hit or shot. Lose all your energy and you lose a life. To supply your energy, take all the food that appears. If you fail, don’t worry. You can continue up to four times, and you can start at the exact place where you died.

Spiderman should be a lot of fun for any Game Boy fan. The gameplay is top-notch, and the hilarious Spiderman theme is a hit. From the awesome opening scene to the radical finale with Venom, Spiderman is great video fun!

Gameplay

Because action is so much fun, The Amazing Spider-Man is at its best. Hundreds of precious comic pages shimmer and flutter in the wind. They are small but nice rewards for taking action. These signs are enough to trace a piece of paper on the screen. Of course, there’s a lot more to the game than just changing the texture: most of the story-based objectives take you off the streets and into tunnels and other similar interiors.

In stealth-demanding episodes, the parallels to that other superhero game are obvious. You can roll over an enemy or roll up behind them and launch a sneak attack. Swinging from the beam, hitting a guard on the shoulder, pinning him, and pinning him to the roof is hilarious. The AI is mechanical and not particularly intuitive – it’s usually easy to just get out of danger and continue hunting.

The Amazing Spiderman 1 does a great job of showing that the rules of science still apply in a vague way. As you run through the playground that isn’t surrounded by large buildings, you get close to the ground, almost touching the grass below you. In the tall buildings, you climb into the sky, from where you can look over the whole city and appreciate its energy.  Overall Recommended Game !!
