Spark the Electric Jester 3 game is fantastic. The acceleration is great and somehow rewards not using the auto. Combat is a big step up from Spark 2 with combat that has a lot of technical aspects while still being user-friendly. And of course, stage challenges are a nice touch when they don’t overstay their welcome. My gripe is that some enemies are a bit slow at first with slow attack rates.

At the time of writing, there are a few annoying little bugs (it doesn’t handle graphics settings correctly, controllers aren’t detected for some, and the game rewards achievements it shouldn’t), so you might want to hold off for a few days. before going into this.

Most of this game is worth a few tries. In terms of themes and pace, this is a huge step up from the previous one. One thing Spark 2 was missing was interesting set pieces. Each level had a special look and unique hazards, but they never went beyond running and jumping. It’s still fun, but the levels rarely have a serious wow factor.

Spark the Electric Jester 3  gets more creative and isn’t afraid of the scripted lines Sonic fans tend to demonize. Now you have these interesting transitions where you control a jet gondola, a hover fighter (great job on this Lake btw), arcade driving shorts, etc.

With these tricks, the levels have more life and personality. They’re all great fun and last just long enough to not get old like other games that try a variety and just kill the pace. The game kind of throws all these things at you but it’s never unwanted.

Gameplay

One of the best 3D Platformers I’ve ever played. It’s better than any 3D Sonic game ever made. The sense of speed you have in the fast-paced sections is solid, but the controls are perfectly tuned to handle the slower platforming and combat sections. The combat parts are also nicely integrated into the platforming stages, it flows seamlessly between the two.

Level Design / Presentation

The scale, location, and presentation of the game are incredible. The levels are expansive, full of magic and narrative. The design perfectly compliments the gameplay as well, offering challenges and variety to keep it interesting. Sometimes while playing I would just get scared of something I was looking at in the distance, only to realize that later in the same stage I would be looking for it!

Basically, if you’ve ever played a Sonic Adventure game and wanted to go off the beaten path and explore all the things outside of your current off-road/tunnel/grind-rail, this is for you.

That said, this is still an easy recommendation because this is a great 3D platformer, and feels designed for maximum upgrade value. There are fewer bosses here than Spark 2 and less focus on combat, but a mix of highly exploratory levels designed for stealth hunting and Sonic-style speed alike. Overall Recommended Game !!
