Neon White is a game all about one thing – kill everything and get to the end as fast as possible. It’s simple and easy to understand, and it’s also incredibly easy to master. It is very addictive to try to push yourself to your absolute limit in order to have a good time, and then your friends, maybe even the world. The skill floor is too low to be accessible to most, even casually, while its skill ceiling is high enough that you can pull off some seriously wacky.

Gameplay:

The gameplay is where this game completely rocks, completely knocking it out of the ballpark, embracing the easy way, the quick ace medal opportunity, and then the dev ways that are super hard ni ta the mystery which are insanely precise and the difficult methods of execution, from the beginner to the pro it serious is a whole load of fun across each level, the cards all vary so well, the killer gimmicks that thrown in keep things fresh everywhere and I found myself insanely addicted to this game for the short while I blitzed through it.

for gameplay this is 10/10, heaven and hell rushes are prone to some hate due to their “Yolo challenge” nature but I think they are extremely fair and any mistake is very much at the player’s fault, there are easy ways for everyone level: there is no excuse. the optional side jobs are few but a nice addition to the gimmicky game and the collectible finds are a great way to spice up every level even more! One thing that bothered me about the gameplay was the penultimate mission which uses the “book of life” card as it kinda breaks the creativity within the limit of card cards, not in a terrible way but just I felt a Lil weaker than the rest of the game.

Graphics:

The graphics look very clean, the cards are fun, the enemies stand out and are recognizable to the player, and the locations are varied and very interesting to look at. The character designs are all very flashy and have their charm to them although now is the time to talk about the story that had me captivated until it started going overly god oriented and threw all interest out of the window, I think with more conviction on what plotline it wanted to follow at first would be much better, but back on topic: the visuals are 10/10.

Audio:

The audio, ooooh boy, the music is a banger, I found myself jamming out very frequently, the sounds of explosions, gunshots and you running through the air just add to the satisfaction of the game, everything is polished and very very well tied making a big breakthrough in the sound department.

Conclusion:

Neon White is an unapologetically cheesy game with a story and feel that will only resonate with a small group of people, but is worth playing for anyone who loves speed games simply because of how the game and the music is so stellar. In those two categories alone, this is easily one of the best games of 2022, and I hope it gets the recognition it deserves during awards season. And maybe a ticket to Heavenly Delight too. How exciting it is!

Overall, this game is a WORTH game, regardless of your status which embraces it all, and you look past the weak story, everything else is so well done that I think it’s definitely in my games of the top 3 FPS I like, maybe even higher.
