God of Light is a very simple puzzle game where you control a beam of light. It is played with a mouse, which you mostly use to rotate, swipe, and sometimes the phone. It has mirrors, black holes, splitters, color changing, and all the usual mechanisms. Once you take away the art, it’s a really simple game.
This brings me to my next point. The game, while very simple, is also very simple. The “increase” mostly comes from the fact that most of the puzzle is hidden when you start. Once you can actually see the puzzle, figuring out how to complete it is not trivial. To me, that’s a huge problem for puzzle games. That said, other players might enjoy the following challenge.
The length of the game is reasonable for the price. One hundred and fifty levels spread across six themed worlds, just like the mobile version. Each one introduces several new mechanics.
Artistically, the game is… well, again, it’s God of Light. Look at the pictures. This is what the game basically looks like. Personally not a fan of the new character design, but oh well.
The game lacks a few QoL features that would be nice. Things like the ability to see teleport links, take mirror routes. Basic things.

It looks great and has interesting challenges that don’t get too repetitive because every two levels introduce new game mechanics without making the game too complicated. It’s also not very easy, and every level, hard or not, has easy solutions (if you’re stuck with a beam near an obstacle then you can look for another solution. Sometimes there are many solutions.)
One of my favorite mobile games but I never got a chance to finish it. My only beef with the game is one level on the Azure Tree because of how much precision you need to pass the light beams but other than that, the game is perfect.
Overall, I recommend it to those looking for a simple puzzle game. If you want something tough, look at Zachtronics or Talos Principle instead.
