Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is based on a film of the same name. The player assumes the role of Harry Potter who must fight against Lord Voldemort and his friends.

The game is completely non-linear – between chapters Harry can roam the school at will. If the player does not want to walk and move around, they have two ways to cut a corner: portraits, which are opened during the game, can be used to teleport to another place immediately. Harry can also summon a spirit that shows him the fastest way to the next mission. Exploration mostly has one goal: find 150 (more or less) hidden boxes that unlock achievements and trophies. Since Harry lost his ability to jump and climb, he has to use spells to get to them.

The biggest difference between Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince is the quality of the mini-games. Potion making is hard enough to be of interest; dueling is a blast (especially once you learn the Levicorpus spell); and even the Quidditch flight, which is probably the least exciting of the three, doesn’t seem boring. Overall, Half-Blood Prince offers a satisfying experience for Potter-Heads who want to enjoy the world of Hogwarts without being annoyed by Hermione or Myrtle every two seconds. He managed corruption.

The past from Order of the Phoenix and the first itself may be the biggest problems of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. What was still billed as Hogwarts Open World at the time was well received, as everything was high definition in a NextGen format.

Today, the bar has been raised significantly and the amazing effect is reduced not only by weak technology and ugly characters but also by places that are practically the same as before.

This bothers the nerd Potter less since he doesn’t want to explore anything other than this very detailed Hogwarts. And even if none of the three mini-games are really great, mixing potions, in particular, comes surprisingly close. Medicine, Quidditch, and even dueling should really keep any player hooked for a while. Perhaps even more than the end of the short and wonderfully told story.

The Harry Potter games have always entertained me greatly. For the relaxed child, these titles are always welcome on the drive. But Electronic Arts didn’t do themselves any favors by releasing the new episode.

Everything here feels a little sloppy like the development team got tired of the greedy wizard or was taking their time and used the least that had been done up to that point. Either way, this is the first time a Harry Potter game has gone through the cracks of a fun game. Not because he’s technically weak on the chest, but because he can’t pull off any magic in terms of depth of play.

No one seriously expects miracles in the making of a Harry Potter movie. But this time, the developers almost dropped a post. The story of the trash is told inconsistently. There are only three different missions, which are constantly repeated and yet still poorly controlled. However, the game is very short. You can move freely in Hogwarts, you can do it in the first one – with the same graphics. Why would you buy a game like this?

All in all, I can pretty confidently say that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a fun movie game, and it certainly lives up to what is expected of it. Although it’s not very long or deep, it will give fans of the series some solid gameplay, and it’s certainly not too difficult for younger fans who might want to play it. The game also has some solid replay value from its multiplayer modes, so if you’re dreading returning to Hogwarts for the 6th year, then Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a great vehicle to do so.
