Dead Rising

Dead Rising 1 is a game designed by a passionate team for those looking for a completely unique zombie survival experience. Please play the game, and try to keep an open mind about how the game is structured. Understand that accomplishing everything on your first playthrough is nearly impossible for someone new to the game. You are meant to fight against time, and if you fail you are encouraged to re-face the mall when you (the player) and Frank have more experience.
But you’re also free to just ignore the main plot of the game and let the trail go cold while you goof around and gain XP and mall knowledge. You are free to ignore any survivor and let them all die or even kill them yourself. Hell, you’re free to stand in an airport for three in-game days and be rescued without accomplishing anything.
Try to use whatever you can think of as a weapon. See what works well and what doesn’t. Memorize the locations of the most effective items, weapons, and food. Find out how to most efficiently navigate the mall and its underground maintenance tunnels. Then consider why you should be careful when walking in the park at night…
If any of this sounds interesting to you I urge you to give Dead Rising a shot. Please don’t let Dead Rising 3 or Dead Rising 4 be your first or only Dead Rising experience. They are totally unfaithful to the first team’s aspirations.
