Game Title: | Ready or Not |
Game Developer: | VOID Interactive |

Initial Release Date: | 18 Dec 2021 |
Genre: | Action, Adventure, Indie |
The game is beautiful and in some cases, the darkness is too much which really shows how you play the game and how you prepare for each mission.
I like the realistic lighting from Moselles and how they go blind for a second and the dark nature of the game makes navigating it really fun and exciting. I’d like to see some external surfaces during the day, or even normal levels during the day or at certain times, which would make it even more replayable and perhaps enable “easy” mode to find enemies.
Equipping gear is a huge pain because you can’t just suppress the escape and modify your loadout for yourself or your team. You have to manually edit each operator of your team before each mission which if I am experimenting really takes a lot of time.
There should be a copy/paste option for operator loadout or at least don’t force us to go to these NPCs to modify our gear in this hub office world. Or at least don’t keep important things away so far as choosing an attachment for your gun is a long way off.
Key points:
- The spiritual successor of Swat 4
- Voice acting from the police TV show
- Great gun game
- A great change in equipment
- 4 custom AI teammates or a team of 5 (including self) players
There are so many types it’s hard to say. Guns are loud and all the impact is loud and when they are activated it scares me a lot. My heart is pounding until we have eliminated all the enemies but then after killing us all you have to spend 15 minutes retreating and gathering evidence and making sure that you are civilians and dead.
Graphics:
I personally believe that this game has excellent graphics. They are the fastest and most sophisticated shooters, they also work well with the environmental shadows that can greatly affect the way you play or the way you arm yourself with firearms.
Controls:
Easy to master, a little time to master, but sometimes you find some binds heavy and difficult, even though it shows that it is selected. – I’m sure it will be fine. Also, there’s no sprinting which is weird unless I’m remembering something because I’ve seen PVP videos of players running, not PvE matches. At the same time, there is no danger.
The game is on point:
This ending job is so boring and frustrating it sometimes stops me from playing because I don’t want to step back, or at least give a percentage of how close we are to the goal. Yes because I could. Swore that he was the last citizen we had to go to the radio but no we remembered a body hidden in a corner that we never felt. This is a real mood killer.
This game really does swat 4 the best way and is a lot of fun to play with friends, but when it comes to enjoying this game it really gets its own way. The search for the last runaway civilian, Janaki Garbo A, is not at all fun.
I would recommend this game to anyone who wants to get rid of the itch for a great tactical shooter and it is on par with most tactical shooters at the moment. Content is limited at this time, and it should be noted that you are investing in a company and game that has been conflicting in the past. I have high hopes for VOID and this game, and I can see this game move from good to great in the future.
